The city of Albany recently passed Tax Law NO. 2016-02, which is an ordinance permitting a general tax on the distribution of sugar-sweetened beverage products. The city wanted a logo created for an awareness campaign in order to drive consumers to make healthier lifestyle changes. The heart represents a cardiovascular healthy lifestyle, while the waves represent the city of Albany. The waves were placed inside the heart at a size relative to it’s shape creating a smile on a symbolic face. The heart works both as a standalone mark or it can be paired with any slogan being used in the campaign.
